TRAINING AND CERTIFICATION
The swiftwater environment including river, flood, surf and
tidal flows is considered by many to be the most dynamic and dangerous natural
environment in which to operate. Certainly, operation in, on and under a
limited access, ice clogged, contaminated river channel, and at night would be
considered to be extreme. SAS has worked and trained in these extreme environments and offers a wide variety of courses developed in
environments such as these and certified through SAS and other nationally recognized organizations.
While our training programs are centered upon a core
curriculum, they are always tailored to the specific needs of the client. Since
we train "on location", we can help prepare client agencies to
perform the actual type of rescue that they are faced with, meet the
environmental challenges of their response area and maximize the effective use
of their own equipment and personnel.
